DATES AND TIMES

​

• May 7, 2024: Last day to register to vote by mail or online for the Primary Election before 5:00 p.m.

• May 7, 2024: First day of absentee/early voting at the County Courthouse, Mon-Fri,  8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

• May 18, 2024: Early voting at alternate sites begins.

  • Times only for the alternate sites:

    • Tues - Sat, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Alternate site locations:

El Prado Water & Sanitation District Office, 1017 Paseo del Pueblo Norte

Penasco Community Center, 14136 Street Road 75

Questa Municipal Village Hall, 2500 Old St Rd 3

• May 21, 2024: Last day County Clerk may receive applications and mail absentee ballot

• June 1, 2024: Early Voting at County Courthouse ends. NOTE: This is the only Saturday voters may cast their ballot at the Courthouse between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• June 1, 2024: Early Voting at Alternate Site ends 

• June 4, 2024: Election Day, voting between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

SAME DAY REGISTRATION

• Same day registration is available for eligible voters at the County Clerk’s office or at any polling location in the county on Election Day. Early Voting locations may also provide same day registration.

TO REGISTER OR CHANGE VOTER REGISTRATION

• Do this at NMVOTE.ORG or with a voter registration agent (VRA), or at the County Clerk's office.  

• VRAs are ready to assist 10 am – 4 pm Mon - Wed and 12 - 4 pm Saturdays at the Taos County Democratic Party Headquarters (corner of Paseo del Pueblo Sur & Cruz Alta).
