Melody Romancito...

is a singer-songwriter of “classic Americana,” which covers a lot of ground – from Bill Monroe to Tom Waits, Mavis Staples to Ani DiFranco. Usually only accompanied by a nylon-stringed guitar, Romancito’s arrangements of covers and originals strip them down to their most fundamental form. Her smoky, jazz-inflected vocals and stylized renderings make each song new.., even if it’s been a part of the pop music fabric for a long time. LISTEN TO MELODY'S MELODIES!

Rachael Penn...

is a multi-instrumentalist (fiddle/violin, viola and clawhammer banjo), singer, and music teacher in Taos. She's the driving force behind the Get Out the Vote Festival! She regularly performs with Crooked and Cracked, an American Roots three-piece band featuring Kate Mann (guitar and vocals) and Billy Steward (banjo and vocals) rocking an eclectic mix of driving melodies and haunting vocal harmonies, and also with The Swing Dusters (Western Swing) featuring Robert Parsons, Melody Romancito, Rick DeStefano, Wayne McKenzie, and Markus Kolber. This go-round, Rachael is thrilled to present a selection of Appalachian fiddle and banjo tunes and some singing-songs backed by singer-songwriter and guitarist Zephania Stringfield and multi-instrumentalist David Garcia. Tara Somerville's...

songs are inspired as much by long subway rides as by silent snowfalls in the sagebrush. She moved to Taos from NYC in 2005 and still blisses out on Southwest silence and birdsongs. She stared playing guitar when she lived briefly without radio or stereo and eventually started writing her own songs during a stint as an earthship caretaker. Her shows always are infused with a sing-along or two. HEAR TARA!

Ricardo Romero...

began his musical career at a young age. At 7 years old, through a grant from the Wurlitzer Foundation, he studied classical and flamenco guitar. At 14 years old he formed his first Rock-n-Roll band “Kardo and the Zorbas.” After school he moved to California and performed throughout the west coast and down to Mexico. He also played guitar on a gospel album in New York. When he returned home to Taos he started “The Kardoriffic Band” and played from North Dakota to Arizona. Ricardo says he “has played every bar, gallery, school, outdoor event...oh, too many to mention...all over New Mexico. It’s all music. It’s all good!

In 2012 she moved to Taos to really concentrate on her art and music, and in 2017 she came out with her first CD, A Healing Heart. Today she creates art and plays music around Taos whenever and wherever she can. LISTEN HERE TO JULIE GREER!

Tony Mason...

redefines the term "one-man band." A singer and song writer, who traveled to Vermont by way of New York City basket houses and tours of New England in clubs and schools, as well as the College Coffee House circuit, Tony gets excited with the new electronics that enable him to play all the parts – and sing, too! It's been said of him: “His barrage of charm, skill, syncopation, and exuberance completely captivates the audience.” Over the years Tony has moved from folk music to blues, from acoustic guitar to rhythm and blues, from a singular troubadour to band member and back again. As an entertainer, he flows from focused performer to whimsical story teller to energetic motivator. Through his music he learns, grows, and evolves, traveling into new and unpredictable adventures. Catch him on his journey. TONY SINGS

He will soon be finished with his first-ever recorded EP album. HEAR HIS SONG "LAND OF THE FREE"

Anthony Carson...

is guided by desires that he doesn't want to understand, he just wants to play, share, and live an interesting story. Alive in his songs are mystic tales, prayers to the inner child, lessons from the shadows, and more. The music swells and rests, begging you to dance, putting you in a trance, massaging your sore muscles, easing your ceaseless thoughts, your heavy heart, and then calling the whole bluff. Its just a ride, and all the ups and downs are what its all about. Anthony's lovely guitar ON THE MESA.
